Gotta see 'em live.......
by Kuan YinBeing the true artists that they are Gooding and the boys reincarnated The Gooding Band as The Angel/Devil in an effort to lend some creative independence to the work Gooding does with Jesse and Billy. As with all music/art, 7 is a step in the process for Angel/Devil and I have a feeling their sound as this latest reincarnation will evolve over time into something beautiful. If you have a chance to catch the boys live I highly recommend the experience. Their presence and energy on stage is absolutely amazing.

by fairy XI have listened to this album over and over again... it's that good. Just remember to listen it to it LOUD. It's 'rock n' roll' the way it used to be, before all the horrible corporate bands got a hold of it and tried to kill it.
Just Okay
by Johny CThese guys were once the "Gooding Band," before they completely changed their sound. When Life Itself was written, they were at their peak. Gooding is a fantastic guitarist but his vocals are horrible on this album. He signs way outside his vocal range and at best would be an average back ground vocal for this genre of music. I've seen them live once in Kansas. Good show but again, outside of the guitar playing there's not much to take home in terms of vocals. This is the worst of their albums in my opinion. Johny C
