Just caught them live
by SeeemilyplayI just saw this band at the Annex for a rare live show and it was great. They're supposedly going to start working on another album in January...here's hoping.
Moodring
by Clark and CarolynA very solid band. Absolutely no lack of talent here. The production was first class. They just started playing live venues and from what I hear will be putting out a second album in the near future. I also heard that this cd is a concept for a musical/stageplay. You can just throw this cd in the tray and hit play. There's no skipping tracks or looking for anything different to listen to. The band itself is a collection of great musicians from other bands. Kurt Reil from the Grip Weeds, Cj Grogan as himself, Vince Grogan of The Grip Weeds and other bands, last but not least Jon Dawson.
Also appearing on this album are John "Rabbit" Bundrick from The Who and Dennis Diken of The Smithereens.
I'd love to see more from these guys in the future.
In fact, I actively seek out their music whether it be a solo album or in this incarnation and request that everyone support live music by going to shows and buying from bands such as this, rather than pirating.
