Wolgemut Rocks
by Two-BearsI had the opportunity to listen and watch these guys in action. They take period music and play on period instruments to create somthing out of this century! Not only does their music add pizzaz to a medieval themed event, but also give energy to the event, whatever it may be.
Demo Quality
by Room 237Despite the wonderful Swedish folk influence, the demo quality of the project overall doesn't do the Swedes in the band any justice. For those who enjoyed Bruno Andersen & Magne Pettersson's work, seek out Faust or Carl Oscar Nygrens Kalas och Nöjesorkester or even Vox Vulgaris. Note: A typo on the title "Na Jag Är Fuller" should read "Nar Jag Är Fuller."
Almost as excellent as their live performances
by RedsilasI had the chance to see Wolgemut at the Maryland Renaissance Fair when they offered this CD for the first time - along with performances of many of these pieces. My two fav are the Sackpipslat and the Farmors Polska. Wolgemut is a fantastic group and the music presented here is excellent.
