by da-seinmusikthis album is the PEAK of Friesen's creative career... he really highlights the fact that he is darn good at cello and has an incredible gift of blending unique instrumentation with a distinctive cello sound -- everything is recorded in the natural acoustic setting of the MIHO art museum in Japan.
Misono Vespers is a brilliant reflection of the cello and voice perfectly harmonizing.
