Truly Amazing
by Yanny1I love this album. It is the kind of music you can listen to over and over and it never gets old. Reid Maclean's voice has such a beautiful tone, and his songs each tell a story. They are mesmerizing. He can go from a jazzy funky piece, to orchestral to melodic without missing a beat. the guy's got talent. I can't wait to see what he does next.
The next best thing
by DamarisNY,NYFour years ago, Reid gave me his two Spinoza cds, Inevitable Movement Onward and Groove Like Corduroy. Living five hours away from him, I listened to them on repeat, only pausing to get some news from NPR, once a week let's say. Bright Fading Star shone its music just before I left for weeks down in Mexico, and it replaced IMO and GLC in the line up. The true stars of the album are Reid's voice and lyrics that continue to tell a story, but combining William Berlind's production and Colin McGrath's multi-instrument contributions make this album extraordinary.
