One of the Best
by DartnellbergHarrison’s new album, 'The Optimist' follows on from ‘The Ties that Blind’ and takes it to the next level. Six songs get my 5 star rating--a rarity these days.
Breath after Breath takes mine away and is followed closely by the title song, The Optimist. The Road Back, Nothing Less Than You, Would I Ever Know? and On a Never Ending Day are all on my playlist. Harrison’s sax is full of energy and dances thru all different types of music. He is clearly one of the best and his arrangements are brilliant. His band is incredibly tight and they are joined by artists like Philip Bailey, Andy Vargas and Phoebe Snow. Can’t wait for the next one!
A masterpiece
by sternum23This is some of the most beautiful music I have ever heard and the vocals are outstanding. This is slightly better then The Tide That Blinds. Keep up the good work, Stan.
