A jewel!
by saam.sadeghiEverything she does is magic! You do not have to understand the language in order to feel the power in her voice and magic. Now that I can speak the Farsi language, listening to her music has opened new doors.
Great voice beautiful music that is very inspiring trancends language
by tinisimoI have been listening to Mamak Khadem sice her days with the fabulous Axiom of Choice, then she also sang with JAmshied Sharifi, Omar Faruk, Trilok Guru etc. But now she has a solo album and what a beutiful album it is. Her voice has always transported me to a place of well being. I don't speak farsi but that has never been an issue the voice opens up so many doors and the language of aural poetry takes over the intellect and makes me fly away. Alas I hope this beautiful album is the beginning of more to come for Mamak. Highly recommended for those who love vocal music.
Exotic voice and melody that all musical tastes can enjoy
by BrunomacI just discovered Mamak on the Santa Monica College station. Her tune, "Avareh" takes you to an exotic place of secrets and passion. "Baz Amadam" is also a unique treat. Check out either of these tunes and you will be hooked! I am an instant fan of this beautiful, heart-filled voice from a far away place...
