These songs are all like personal extensions of herself and they come through flawlessly! Get this album and you won't be disappointed in any way at all. The same goes for all of her other albums!

Vocals like angels....As a musician on my best day I do not expect to do as well....Sweet spirit...words that turn on the dime....this is the real deal....A well deserved listen is in order.... This is what Joni Mitchell was like before she was Joni Mitchell.... Not to be missed...

by VenangoEm"Singer Shine Your Light" is a great cd. Buy it. You won't be disappointed, and most importantly, you'll have the experience of listening to an entire cd of distinct songs, all artfully and beautifully crafted by the same artist. This is not one of those run of the mill folkie cd's, where every song sounds the same and addresses the same topic, over and over again. Brennet covers everything from her feelings for the state of California and the city of Ithaca to the human experience often left out of the of the immigration debate. And there are some pretty good "relationship" songs, too, if you're interested in putting together a nice playlist for your current love interest. This really is a must have for anyone who loves good music and great emerging artists.
