The lost tracks
by Stringfive
The recordings on "Lost Angeles" were lost for nearly 20 years until discovered in the dusty basement of recording studio on Mulholland Drive by a maintenance worker named Fred who was hopelessly addicted to Jolly Rancher candy and Orange Crush. In a desperate attempt to fuel his ever growing sugar fix, the bleary eyed ex-drummer hoped to sell the reels of old two inch analog tape on eBay figuring that the vintage Ampex 456 would fetch some cool cash from neo-rockstar wannabes aiming for that old school vibe. Fortunately for us, the master tapes were purchased online by an anonymous KC fan who turned them over to the world headquarters of Moving Hands Music. After some careful and painstaking restoration involving a bottle of Windex and a healthy supply of Q-tips, the tracks have been digitally remastered and presented here for your listening pleasure. At times ethereal and mysterious, KC fans will surely thank Fred and his Jolly Rancher fetish for unwittingly saving these cleverly crafted recordings.
