alaskan folk/adult contemporary
by strangecharmLyrics are in the "adult contemporary" camp, the music is folk, but much more too, flute, oboe, accordian, cello, fretless bass float and frift over her mountain dulcimer. These elements are seamless and arranged in such a way that it sometimes reminds you of the Beatles, or all the artists they inspired to put classical instruments and arrangements behind pop songs. Very well produced at 10th Planet Studios in fairbanks alaska. geust musicians include john keech on fretless bass, pat fitzgerald on drums and guitar, robin dale ford, backing vocals, george rydinski on basoon, candy rydinski on oboe, bobby burseil on cello, corwyn wilkey on trumpet, pam emerson- backing vocals, isaac paris on accordion, even karen savoca on backing vocals (wow!)
this is real music.
by hip_ewow. how refreshing. esther's soul shines through in an incredible album. full of unique observations, interesting metaphors, and a great, witty sense of humor. this whole album is golden.
