Amazingly Listenable
by Schubertfan415I usually detest children's choir music but I stumbled across this and was taken aback by the wonderful quality of both the voices and the repertoire. Usually children's choir music is a boring amusement only enjoyable to the parents of the performing children but these singers are astoundingly entertaining to listen to and give such a powerful performance that I was nearly moved to tears. I commend Mr. Nunez and his chorus for the work that he has done on this album and hope that he continues to elevate children's choral music to the status of a legitimate art form in this country.
Surprisingly good
by hetkthe album surpassed by expectations. I am quite shocked that children (young people) are actually singing these pieces that seem so very difficult. the singers have such a wonderful sound, which is exemplified in the song Alphabet (Fuga). The best part about this CD is that you can hear the determination in their voices which makes you want to listen to the next song even more. well done young people's chorus! you represent New York well in this album.
