Pretty Darn Good
by bassosaurusLocal Camebridge MA, singer songwriter Lenny Solomon has produced a fine CD with songs that just seem simple and easy to listen to at first, but the crafted lyrics and familiar melodies have a way of growing with each listen. No spring chicken, Lenny has been doing the Harvard Square scene for almost 40 years, learned the craft, and it shows. These are stories as well as songs, and so simply stated, you can feel they are real. Global Warming Blues, about big cars and the effect of that choice, funny yet true Jews in Country Music about subtle prejudice, Come Take My Hand speaks of the dying giving comfort to the living. If you enjoy the 3 minute story that makes you think a bit, then Lenny's new CD is definitley worth a download.
