truly great band
by Jess_bob93I saw these guys at a Scarborough Renaissance Festival and thought that they were amazing. i bought one of there cds and listend to it on the ride home. its a really interesting sound as the bagpipes dont perticurly sound like they are being played like a traditional set of bagpipes, cause they dont seem to like to linger on any one note for very long.
its not only the bagpipes that make this album. the drumming/ precussion is amazing too. one song its a Celtic stomp and the nex it a bouncy Hip Hop beat.
the best song on here in my opinion is Bonny Portmore. the mix of the french horn and the bagpipe is odd but gives a beautiful sound that i had never even thought of.
a great album. definitly worth the money.
Beautiful and moving
by EyebeamFresh and fine - great gaelic music that lights a fire in your soul played by people who still care about the sound they create rather than the image they present. I would love to see them live in a little warm pub with a nice pint of Scottish ale on the bar next to me and a wee dram of the Highlands there on the side.
