OMG!!!
by QTCALLIEMy dad took me to an art festival, i was about 8. We saw this stage sitting in this empty spot, so we went over to check it out. We heard this wonderful band play, the let the children come up and play their imstruments. We loved them and we bought the album. I am now 11, and I wanted these songs on my ipod, so I find the cd and so I see itunes has their albums so here I am writing this reveiw. I never really forgot that day. FIVE STARS ALL THE WAY!!! ROCK ON PATCHOULI!!! BUY THIS ALBUM!!!
Joyful, fresh, and sophisticated
by Robb LAfter seeing them at a live show, I bought this CD. A rich variety of acoustic instruments is one of this album's shining points. The sounds are 'layered' but yet the melodies are very simple and elegant. The songs are arranged in such a manner that you do not get sick of listening to it by the end of the album, like many other albums.
The only down side of this album is that the singer does not sound like her microphone is properly adjusted. The recording does not do her sweet voice justice.
After listening to this, we can't wait to buy another album. We plan to bring friends to attend another performance this summer. This album has brought great joy to my morning/afternoon commute. You will not waste your money if you buy this album!
Fresh and Freeing
by Lee Lee DI saw Patchouli live at an outdoor art festival and bought their CD after listening to Julie sing for about 3 minutes. I really love this CD and come back to it again and again. Her voice is fresh with midwestern clarity and the songs stay with you all day. Favorites are "Hot Springs," "The Woods," and "Indiana."
