Made me verklempt
by buckeyelisaI stumbled on this song looking for anything new from Edwin McCain (he sings backing vocals on this song). Lyrics are my passion with music and this one passed my "gooseflesh, lump in the throat, tears in the eyes" test. I hug a veteran every chance I get. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful.

by emtcop32As a veteran of Desert Storm (Gulf War 1990), I wanted to say how sorry I am that we did not take care of this problem the first time. If we did, our men and women would not be over in a country that does not respect us and is jealous of all the love and compassion for life we have. I truly believe, that 9/11 might not have had the magnitude that it did if we did take care of business during the first Gulf War. Just know we are all behind you 100%.
A message to all those who are opposed.......You need to understand that what you are saying when you protest is not showing the support for our troops. It makes them second guess themselves, they need to stay focused and not worry about what is going to happen when they come home. To be quite honest, that is what we felt during the Gulf War. Be thankful for the sacrifces our troops are making for our freedom. Believe me people, we do not want to fight this war on our soil.
Mike, your song says it all...I truly believe you are on duty and we are safe tonight and forever...God Bless America and all of my brothers in uniform....Semper Fi Doc-Z USN (ret) (Currently a Police Officer)
