Exquisite jazz guitar compositions

I came across this album in iTunes when doing a search for "flamenco jazz" ... and does this ever nail that hybrid concept. Tomas Michaud's "New World Flamenco Jazz" is compulsively listenable and profoundly satisfying. The arrangements are beautiful, the guitar work impeccable, and some of the compositions truly moving. What a surprise and delight to come across!
Several friends who heard this instantly compared it to Ottmar Liebert -- and the music does have a very similar sound and pedigree. But, personally, I enjoy Mr. Michaud's work more. It feels less technical, less predictable, and more heartfelt. All very subjective, I know... but I dare anyone to listen to this or Mr. Michaud's "Passion Dance" (also on iTunes) and not enjoy it immensely.
