The New Classical
by GoBand!After hearing this album and seeing the quartet live I can honestly say that they are the some of the best musicians out there. This, and their other albums are hard to beat in any genre.
A refreshing return to classical music...
by listeningforthemuse...With a twist. I saw the Georgia Guitar Quartet live, and wasn't expecting much, but I was amazed at their skill and creativity. It wasn't strange for them to flip their guitars and start beating on them, nor to let loose some live improvisation. Everyone I talked to afterward loved them, and unfortunately I didn't get the chance to buy their c.d. so I was thrilled when I found it on itunes! My favorite song? "The Road to Lisdoonvarna", definitely. Its good to know that real music is still being played today.
