by Neph#1Who is this?! Why have I not heard of her before! This CD is incredible. Musically, it is superb; lyrically, it's classic (of course!) Dawn's voice is so refreshingly smooth that I can listen to it over and over again. Definitely a must-buy for any lover of 40's love songs.
She's GREAT!
by Billy52Smooth, warm voice, very nice arrangements. Everything clicks. It's smart, good-humored, fun. Deed I Do and Confessin are my favorites. I can listen to all of it several times through. Really, really good.
Spot on vocals
by digitalprofessorMs. Shelton has a voice that makes singing sound so effortless. It is so refreshing to hear a singer hitting notes at the first attempt, without the scooping so common in today's music. Her style harkens back to a gone era, when vocal training preceded attempts at such difficult music. Nowadays singers seem to take their cue from other pop singers they hear on the radio or through their iPods. Any success they find comes from multiple tracking or the clever manipulations at the soundboard in studios.
Not so with Ms. Shelton - her voice is authentic.
