WOW!
by deebee5A really talented new singer/songwriter whose writing is powerful and concise, with a singing style that reminds me of the great, late Jeff Buckley. A "roots" CD that stands out for being atypically sophisticated with a dense, rich sound. If you like artists such as Josh Rouse and Joseph Arthur, then check this one out.
Josh Canova's 'Common Divide'
by Linda Lewis - Creative EntertainmentI listen to many 'Independent' artists on a daily basis, but it is always nice to find one that stands out from the rest. Josh Canova is a singer/songwriter that does just that. 'Common Divide' has a few songs that will be more recognizable than others due to their popularity on tv shows, but it was nice to find that his other material, less known, was just as exciting. Josh has just enough, Rock, Pop and Americana that will appeal to the masses. I can't wait to hear his next CD, but until then, I will be more than happy to push the 'repeat' button and hear this one over and over again!
Common Divide
by actioncannonEvery song on this album has something unique to say and I find myself hanging on every word. It takes the best part of different musical genres and creates its own sound - just enough rock, little bit of country, and plenty of soul. The lyrics are the key - but it's Canova's voice that makes this album stand out. You just believe he is speaking the truth. Only thing better than listening to this album is seeing him play it live.
