Kickin' EBM/Electro Remix Action
by mingaFeaturing remixes by "Industrial" heavyweights Assemblage 23, Cruxshadows, Terrorfakt and Flesh Field - as well as many other worthy inclusions. These CROC SHOP remixes off the band's Metropolis full-length "World" sound like a great night of dance-floor action rolled into one release. A23's take on "World" features an unexpected straight-ahead 4/4 thump that doesn't let up paired with catchy clean synth lines and an almost Peter Murphy (Goth) styled vocal track. With a bit more fanfare both the Cruxshadow's and Flesh Field remixes lend themselves to far more orchestration while still maintaining not only the original tracks structure but also adding a nice danceability to the whole affair. Drum and bass meets Electro Clash on the Division #9 remix while an almost Depeche Mode vibe is set against great "trance" beats and bleeps on hEadacHe's remix. Well worth your time if you're a fan of any of the remixers, Croc Shop or just great electronicA, in itself.
