i remember when i first found this cd...years ago. come to think about it, i pry found it real soon after it came out...and i actually bought the gollum blues song. Kinda funny actually...weird but funny...and personally i think he's right on the mark when he mentions sam and frodo's "relationship"... (yes, you freaks, i've read all the books so i know what i'm talking about). Funny song but i hate the rest of cd. I won't even reccomend the song unless ur in a random mood...

An Unexpected Party

If you're expecting sweeping scores or faux Celtic warbling, then this won't be for you.
However, this album makes for a nice refreshing change from the more po-faced LotR music out there. The Bards are clearly experienced musicians, playing with a relish and love of the material that blows away the more "Enya-esque" music available. Apparently the humor has been lost on a lot of folks, but I enjoy the hobbit-like mischief that the Bards have with the material and more power to them for it.
There's a heart to the music here so that one could imagine it being played in a Middle Earth Court or Hobbit Alehouse. It won't be to everyone's taste or expectations, but it will grow on you.
