Fire-Dean is a Wunderkind
by Chris & ChristieFire-Dean deconstructs music, then rebuilds it - from the heart up. His enigmatic lyrics are dense, seemingly mystic, as he spins stories that can only really be understood within the full context of each song or an entire album. Pay attention to every little detail - like the asyncopatic bongos on Irradessent that lend the lyrics the perfect backbone, yet are insanely difficult to play. Six years after he released Custom Deluxe, these songs remain relevant little jewels. They're not likely to ever get major airplay - they require way too much thought - but are among the decade's smartest pieces of music.
