It might have been all right.
by TripMystIt could have survived. I mean, this girl sounds like she has a decent voice. Unfortunately, a good voice =/= a good album or a good artist. I am very familiar with both Batti Batti and Se Tu M'Ami, and I'm wondering why Jahna decided to blatantly mangle them and turn them into tedious cardio-hiphop mutilations of the original pieces, with loud, intrusive percussion and synthesizer layers. They were both great compositions. "In the Balance"? Not true at all. Put Jahna's versions next to the real thing - ie, the recordings sung by Cecilia Bartoli, etc., and Jahna's renditions are untrue to the music and not at all pleasing to the ear. This album is heading right into the fire.
