STUNNING.... SIMPLY STUNNING
by "Joe Piano"This is an odd album for this reason: The "bookends" or first and last songs are not very good. They are some kind of dixieland/cowboy blues music by the band "Skillet Lickers". But when you put these guys behind Adrian Duke, the results are stunning... simply stunning. Mr. Duke does a great line of songs live in New Orleans, and he has a soulful voice. Strangely, the crowd doesn't always sound like they are in rhythm with him, but #3, #5 and 7-9 are smokin'!!! I love Tipitina, and he does a "rightous" Georgia on my mind. I highly recommend this if you like piano blues
