by weepingwillow22Randi Driscoll is an amazing singer/song-writer. She has been my vocal coach for 3 years now and I have to say she's helped me to become more confident with my voice. Listening to her music and learning about her experiences as a musician helped open my mind. It made me realize the importance of music and the importance of writing your own music. You can always have other people write your music and you can always tweak your voice to make it sound better, the record may sound amazing, but when you play live people will realize that you aren't that great of a singer. Randi is the opposite of that. She has talent and best of all she doesn't sound any differen't live. She is amazing both live and on cd.

Guaranteed to jump right into your "Top 25 Most Played" folder in a flash. Standouts include: "The War" and "The Play" (which seems like a 4:12 autobiography set to music), along with the live track, "Her Own Sweet Voice." Those of us who are in love, have ever been in love, or who have had our hearts broken (that takes care of just about every one of us, right?) will certainly find a song on here where you wonder where Randi found your journal and why she didn't give you a songwriter credit. The Matthew Shepard tribute track, "What Matters" is achingly beautiful.
