Dreampop to die for
by ElliottEldrich"Dying to Meet You" is the debut album from New York's own dreampop duo "Stars of Stage and Screen". I'm lucky enough to have been aware of their music from their earliest efforts that were posted on the internet. Watching them grow and progress as artists has been a real pleasure. There is a mood that comes with their music, a feeling of that reminds one of a cool breeze on a clear summer day. Songs like "Julie Loves her Toys" and "Silver Memories" are so accomplished as to be almost transcendent.
This album is a real treat, one of those you can listen to over and over and never tire of. As a longtime fan of janglepop, brit pop, dream pop and shoegazer music this band has become one of my very favorites of all.
