Old school sound and new school musicanship
by hugg-ebearThis CD could be from another time if it weren't so well performed and recorded. The old style, mostly pre-bebop jazz from Pete Petersen and his compadres makes for a unique experience compared to what is normally heard from newer jazz releases. Yet there is a freshness to the music; it is not a "museum piece". Judging from the snippets I've heard on Myspace, the next album from this group will be even better.

The reason: I want everyone to know how incredibly grateful I am for the fine musicianship and hard work by the other performers on the album. I feel unbelievably lucky to be able to work with such great cats, they all put their hard work and love into this project and made it sound great!!! Thanks guys, you're amazing.
