Read my review of her first release, "My Ideal." Ditto this album. But the amazing thing about this disc is that she remains unaffected and keeps a respectful touch with previously composed material. She might remind you of a talented friend from high school choir who had the gift of perfect pitch and a little understanding of the genre. But Anna is more than that. Her delivery is clean but impassioned with phrasing and skill that carries the composition further than it could be appreciated on viewing the score. Never does she blow out her pipes looking for that one-hit punch. It's her consistency that will make her a long-term industry favorite.

And this doesn't even address her composition, superior group of musicians, and trumpet. Can she scat? Like the wind, my friend. This release is simply just worth it. Get on board before the Callahan train leaves the station... she's off!
