Sonny Boy Meets Savoy!
by Vox MoparThe one-and-only Dave Walker knocks out some fantastic blues vocals on this excellent album! The ex-lead singer of Savoy Brown sounds better than ever, playing with members of some of the best 60's blues-rock acts. Killer harp solos, sweet guitar, barrel-house piano and tight percussion. If you like the Savoy albums "Street Corner Talking", "Hellbound Train" and "Lions's Share" you'll really enjoy this disc. Listen for the Dylan-tinged vocals on the rollicking "Keep It To Yourself" and the soulful "Eyesight To The Blind", sung the Sonny way, not the Daltrey way! If you're a fan of Savoy Brown, Mayall, Humble Pie, etc., buy this. You will love it.
