ROCK!

It's almost impossible to believe that this band isn't better known! This really is a great record!

Griddle's Best Album

by cousinwil

There is really not enough good that can be said about this band. The self-published Turning Violet is by-far their best release of the three to date and, at the same time, was quite possibly one of the best independant albums released in 2004. I was so impressed with their eclectic originality upon receiving this release it immediately became something I could NOT live without and remained in my car's CD player for months!

Prog-Pop: Unafraid and Uncharted

by Mr. Bubbles

“Prog Pop” is not exactly a typical sub-genre of rock, but this unique San Francisco band wears it proudly. Griddle serves up an engaging blend of very complex, erratic (and sometimes spastic) arrangements that always seem to be saved from flying off the deep end by sharp, often hooky song structures. What serves Griddle well is the ability to push beyond the expected barriers of the typical, guitar-bass-drum formula and explore the new, dark, weird territory of rock. Explore…enjoy!
