by taihawkI met Alana in Tucson back in 1996. I had a cassette player back then...what were they called....Walkman? I remember riding my bicycle in the desert above the wash (dry riverbed) and listening to Alana's soulful voice. Her songs went right to my heart and helped me connect to that deeper place. I love her slower, more raw songs, but any song with her voice on it is a hit in my book. You go girl, and keep goin....I can't wait to hear you as you unfold your musical style and it spirals back into the core of your depth.
You Must Hear and See Live this Sexy Storyteller....
by WishICouldSingI've been going to Alana's shows around L.A. ever since a boyfriend took me to see her play and I signed her email list. I love the sexy passion and energy of her sound, and the strength and humor in the stories her lyrics tell. Her live shows completely rock- so creative, bringing in new musicians each time to join them on stage. Ever seen a tap dancer as a music instrument? Or a harmonica player get the crowd stomping and clapping as he pours his soul out? My boyfriend didn't last, but I will be forever thankful for the introduction to her music and spirit.
More than Fantastic
