Watertown
by SF MichaelA standout in the Bay Area rock scene, Invisible Cities are rockers who have real talent and something to say, yet avoid the pretention of so many indy bands. A great range of styles are on this first record, providing some fun tunes that still have real depth. Can't wait for their next release!
Solid Debut
by Hark JohnnyI heard The Invisible Cities on WOXY.com's "Unsigned" podcast Volume 7 (11-10-05). They played Bumper Cars and it really impressed me... enough so that I bought the entire album. This group has produced a very solid debut album with Watertown. Inventive and catchy with a couple really rocking tunes in Instaglo and Bumper Cars. Take My Picture is my favorite though. Not a bad song or filler anywhere. Recommended.
Picture Perfect
by Goh YeahWatertown is the kind of album that has an endless depth to it, you learn something new about it (and yourself) with each listen. Each song is like an old familiar photo that floods your senses with memories and emotions, as well as new perceptions invisible to you at the time it was taken. The arrangements and frame the imagery perfectly. The playing is sublime, zen-like perfect and to the point... no wasted notes here (except for the "I'm wasted" feel of the drunken anthem Double Fisted). Truly a perfect album, I wouldn't change a note.
