Former member of The Time during the "Purple Rain" days!!!
by julyguySt. Paul (Peterson) was a member of The Time ("Jungle Love," etc.) back in 1984 & even appeared in Prince's movie Purple Rain. The next year, he joined Prince's spin-off group called The Family, sang lead vocals for the band & appeared on the album cover. This album contained St. Paul singing the first known version of Prince's "Nothing Compares 2 U"- yes, the Sinead O'Connor hit. That album, "The Family" is a must-have for Prince fans, but sadly is out of print & has never been on CD. This solo album I stumbled upon by accident & I have to say it's not bad. Paul looks & sounds as young as he did 20 years ago. If you like blue-eyed soul with a dash of teen pop (or if you can't get enough of the new Nick Lachey cd) you will love this. Enjoy.

by funkforeverEach piece on this album is fantastic. St. Paul not only has an excellent voice, but writes some excellent music as you will hear!!! You will not be disappointed and you will listen to it over and over on your ipod as I do almost everyday!!! From the funky ones "Sugar "and" Desire" to the slower and more meaningful pieces like" Everything" and "Somebody Like You", they are all great. Also listen to the lyrics, not many artists write such meaningful lyrics..they really touch you and make you feel. Make sure to check out his funky CD Blue Cadillac also!
I can't wait to hear more from my favorite artist soon!!!!
