Great Find!

by soccerdoodman

Heard this group live several times while in college at Oregon State...still cannot belive that they never went "real time". Their gigs were always packed and everyone loved them. Glad to have found them on iTunes. This first album was fantastic.

WOW!

I can not believe Itunes has Sequel listed. This is an absolute classic. I still can not figure out how they got overlooked. This reminds me of so many things growing up in the Portland area. Heard it the first time at 14 years old in a little coastal town called Cannon Beach. Saw these guys live at the County Fair later that same summer. Just hearing it again brought a smile to my face.

Have You Discovered This Band Yet?

With so much hype centered around Portland's contemporary indie music scene, it's easy to overlook some of the gems that gave birth to the city's rise as a mecca of do-it-yourself rock. Sequel's self-titled album, originally released in 1982, became a local sensation- and with this decade's habit of repurposing the 80's in music, style, clothing, and art, this album deserves a good luck. Sequel would go on to update and solidify their unique sound through later releases like Daylight Fright and Back, but this is where it all began. Their music has been used in a number of indie films set in Portland, and still manages to draw huge crowds at concerts, so why aren't you listening yet?
