Album Review
The group's debut album sounds like the more reflective moments of Lou Reed's early/mid-'70s material, with a high "haunt count" and enough emotional depth so as to evoke cinematic images — and the really quiet moments call to mind Syd Barrett. From the stark minimalism of "Tempest" to the more lyrical work around it, the effect on the listener ranges from momentary disorientation to bracing excitement, but it's all really pretty, too, if sometimes stark and bare.

by dawkinLet me keep it brief so I have more time to concentrate on this A+ disc. This sound is so unique, intelligent and accessible to the discerning listener. Whether you are alone, or with your babe or dude as the case may be, this will make things click, happen or generally work out for you. Great musicians and a new, fresh vibe that I have just discovered and hope that others will as well. If the boys in the mideast tuned this in maybe some of the violence over their would be tuned out. In any event, listen and find some internal peace and solace. Later all.
Compelling chamber folk-rock!
by D-diddyThis quartet has created a very organic, original sound that seems somehow familiar and unique all at once. Fantastic cover of the Eno tune "Baby's On Fire," too.
