What a treat!
by ShelterdoggI hadn't heard of Christine Kane till I recently stumbled across one of her songs by accident, The Customers, on XM's only folk channel. I was driving my car and was so struck by the song, I was afraid I'd forget her name by the time I could get home to write it down. Fortunately, I remembered, and then downloaded this album, which I've been enjoying a lot. Her smart, intricate lyrics convey a lot of depth, yet the music, her voice and performance makes it very accessible. I want to hear more!
Lyrical Magic
by gekkonidaeChristine Kane's music is amazing. She has a special way of locking such strong emotions into her lyrics and pairing them with the perfect music. It is so relaxing, yet so inspiring. "Everything Green" is absolutely beautiful and catchy in the way that Kane is able to capture the wilderness, it will always remind me of camp and the first time I ever truly experienced the wild. In "(No Such Thing As) Girls Like That" a.k.a. 'The Purple Panties Song', Kane shows humorous feminism at its best. All of the songs on this album show an inner reflection that is simply magnificent.
