Diamond in the Rough!
by Beatle LoverI saw Kate and CJ in concert in rural Pennsylvania, and I have to tell you, they were even better live. The concert was funny, caring, and upbeat. If you like Peter, Paul, and Mary or the Dixie Chicks, you'll like Kate and CJ!
What a Surprise

If you value lyrics that are thoughtful, and are in the mood to listen.... This collection of songs is a handful of pearls to be treasured. I'd not heard of "Kate and CJ" until now, and - well - they've been a daily stop in my iTunes Library.
Kate's voice reminds me of Kathy Mattea, and a few others. She imparts a true feeling when you hear her sing. If she's singing of loss, you feel it too. Be careful - if you've been feeling down, some of these will hit you - that is if your heart is still beating! But there are some light-hearted songs - particularly "These Last Few Pounds"
Maybe I should listen to folk music a little more often.... This album was THAT good.... IMHO....
