One album is not enough!
by John C. RandolphI wanted to learn the song "The Bantry Girl's Lament", so I searched for it on the iTMS. I'm used to hearing it sung in pubs, and not particularly well, so I wasn't expecting to find such an excellent performance of it. Its one of those occasions where you realize exactly why a song has become a classic.
Mark Evans' arrangements of Helen of Kirkconnel, the Parting Glass, and the Death of Queen Jane take songs that have become trite, and turns them back into the deeply stirring songs that they should be. Great job, Mr. Evans, and it's long past time for you to get another album out!
