honest to God hillbilly

First impression: Hey, there's no drummer in this band! I think this would sound awesome in the open air versus a smokey crowded bar.
What I really liked: This brings to mind lots of the old Hank and Johnny gospel stuff that most hipsters think they're too cool to like.
Vocals sound like: A deep baritone leads the way with gentle, harmonious back-ups.
Instrumentation sounds like: Simple guitar licks and pronounced slapbass will inspire more foot tapping than hooting and holaring.
Last impression: This is probably what an authentic barn stormin' shin dig would have sounded like fifty years ago when folks drank home made moonshine and flatheads grew on trees.
Rating: This is slow paced country gospel with a rockabilly twang. It's NOT meant for getting drunk and rowdy. If you like rockabilly more for the music than the scene check it out. If you're all hot air and image you'll want to look elsewhere.
