Decent; nothing special
by OneHourThorDespite what must have been a painful childhood (YOU try being named after a light fixture), Shanda Lear seems to have emerged unscathed enough to put forth this pleasant, if fairly standard album of standards. If you like vibrato-voiced jazz-singing women, you will probably enjoy this album, but it's not particularly distinctive. Still, Ms. Lear sounds like she's having fun, and she has chosen her songs well. Try a song or two and see if you like them.
