Gorgeous
by christina from NYCLast week I fell in love. With Jo Davidson's piano solo "Reflection" which she had coupled with the words of a guided meditation for the podcast Let's Get Metaphysical. It was so overwhelmingly, heartbreakingly beautiful, I listened again and again -- and I kept pressing the "Play" button, just one more time, again and again.
I wanted more of that 'right side of the brain' tingle at the back of your head, so I sampled all 15 piano solos on Tell the Story.
It's gorgeous. They're all gorgeous. Peaceful and sad and still. Light dawning and joyful, reflective and wondrous. The way a taste explodes on your tongue, these songs expand in your head. They grow and fill the air: They fill you. They are a soundtrack for your own thoughts. I'm bringing all 15 into my home, and into my head; they're the music for the dawn of my new decade. I suggest you do the same. And now, if you'll excuse me, I need to press that "Play" button again.
