Throw It Down
by Chauncy55Ellen Keyt is an Urban Folk singer in Detroit and this album full of beautiful and original songs. If you like the music of the folk artists from Pete Seegar to Joan Baez, she is the generation after them. These songs are both serious and humorous -- and speak to justice and equality, what's not to love?
My favourite is The Sunrise, which speaks to moving through the difficult times in life and finding the beauty from the pain. She is an original and creative songwriter, with beautiful vocals and lovely lyrics. There are some funny songs on it too. It is a nice variety of political, hopeful and melancholy tunes that both uplift and inspire one to live in a beauty way.
Get it, you will love this album. I keep listening to some of them over and over again. I hope she comes out with another album soon because she has an amazing voice.

by BrewGrrrlGreat variety and beautiful songs. Since "The Braun" reviewer seems to prefer music one can "bang their head into" it's no wonder he didn't "get" it - he may have banged his head a bit too much. If you like music with substance, message, and humor though this is a great album.
