Amazing Debut Album
by sugerman16This CD has so many good songs. Starting from the first song, Scenes from the Interior Part One, you are immersed in a folky americana genre. With songs like Winter of '39, there is a jazz aspect. And the last 6 songs on the album are just fantastic. Rain/Sun is incredible, just with Milton's voice and guitar. Up and Down the River has an excellent bassline which gets you going after the folky Public Swimming Pool Blues. This is the town and Come To The Show are the epitome of "chill" and never get old. Milton rocks!!!
Fantastic CD
by rugby15I never get tired of this cd from Milton. The songs have enough difference to keep you interested on each listening. His lyrics are very witty and many paint fantastic mental images. I've been waiting for him to release a follow-up to this wonderful debut. If you're looking for something a little different check out this cd, especially "In the city" and "Scenes from the interior part one". Give this a try, you might be pleasently surprised.
Tasteful and Well Crafted
by old-dudeMilton's first, and unfortunately, at least as far as I know, only album is a fine piece of songwriting and musicianship. The songs are folk with a tinge of country and a trace of hip hop. No song blows you away, but with each listen the album gets better and better. For those unfamiliar with Milton, start with "In the City." If you love the character of New York City (or any other urban cityscape), the lyrics of this song resonate and the music sounds better with each listen. Do yourself a favor and download the whole album and let it play.
