Michael Mish, once called the "Pied Piper of the Environment" by the L.A. Times, was concerned with the helplessness children must feel as they watch their environment being polluted by noise, chemicals, and other garbage. Michael interviewed hundreds of children asking them about their concerns and their solutions for a better world. Along with upbeat, fun songs are also comments from children ages 3-10 as a result of those interviews...

Songs and ideas that stay with kids
by CMcKenzieI bought this as a cassette tape for my daughter when she was three. Now she is 16 and was talking about the "Electric Car" song recently, after we watched the documentary, "Who Killed the Electric Car?" These songs taught lessons and introduced ideas that have stayed with her all these years: she happily sang the electric car song when she was little and now is hoping to get a Prius or other hybrid. Powerful music!
