Album Review
As the title of this recording suggests, Nyree bares her soul on this personal, intimate album. As with Tori Amos, her instrument of revelation is the piano and an octave-leaping voice. Expressively and skillfully played, the acoustic piano channels Nyree's emotion. The dynamic and at times stunning vocal display makes this album a work of art and talent. An ardent performer (700 shows in three years), Nyree is a rare and splendid talent. Her music is truly compelling, truly personal, and truly moves the listener to sharing in her heartache and sensitivity.
