Outstanding Rock and Roll
by BiijanI stumbled across this disc accidentally, and I'm glad that I did. My original impression of these songs was that they were very well put together with a strong classic rock pedigree (which I like). On first listen, they are comfortable songs that explore love, politics, and passion and do so in a pretty powerful manner. Great rock and roll, but nothing new here - or so I thought.
Now that I've been listening to these songs for a few weeks, I'm really starting to find new paths and destinations. My favorites are Rise, For My People, God's Eyes, and For Love, the latter being just a phenomenal man-vs.-guitar ballad. Ed Fingerling covers all of the bases here. He shows tremendous emotional range, includes some outrageous bass and guitar licks, and occasionally exceeds his vocal abilities. But it’s all good, especially on Rise when he sings:

Soldiers and believers/
We've got to make a world that holds all the people/
The time it has come/
To question what you’re told/
The time it has come/
To rise up and take control!/
I'm sold and I can't wait to hear what's coming next. Do yourself a favor and invest a little time in these songs. You won't be disappointed.

by cuz coopgreat mixture of classic and new rock sounds. if you like The Beatles, Paul Weller or The Clash, you'll love this record. he's unknown now but that wont last long.
