At last!
by Catriona_MacHughThe members of Mince Pye obviously enjoy making music. Loving the music, they are able to bring life and joy to both mediaeval pieces and original works. Though many of the mediaeval pieces are "standard," I have to say that Mince Pye plays them with a freshness lacking in many recordings. This is no musty, bookbound band trying to recreate absolute authenticity - but neither is it a strange mix of electronics and inappropriate rythms. Mince Pye would probably feel right at home in a mediaeval pub, and I think they would at least get their meal for the night if not a few tips.
