Quality Tunes
by MItoMTFell in love with these boys in college, where they were THE local band, and continue to look forward to anything new they create. This is their first and liveliest album, with drums and wicked fiddle. My faves are 'Stagnationland' and 'The Turn of Time'. These are truly gifted musicians whose product pays worthy homage to a large variety of influences. I'm pretty sure anyone can find a Steppin' In It song that moves them.
First CD from Steppin in it...
by AKalyoThis is the first CD from Steppin in it... and as far as I am concerned, the best. It combines folk, rock, cajun, bass, and energy into a fine tight package. I saw them as a warmup band to Greg Brown a few years back and since then they've released two more CD's. Their live show is certainly their strong point, but the combinations of vocals, harmonies, fiddle, bass, slide guitar leave you humming a tune for days.
