Buy The Concert For George instead

by MailleO

If anyone should cover George, it should be 20 of his best friends. Recorded in November, 2001, at Royal Albert Hall, one year to the day after George passed. Led by Eric Clapton with help from Paul, Ringo, Jeff Lynn, Jules Holland and so many more. So don't waste your money here...get The Concert For George instead.

Not Like George Does It

I respect George Harrison and everyone who does a tribute to him but this is really bad. George deserves better then this! Eric Clapton does great versions of his songs because he understands him (not to mention he was his close friend). This is not that good at all.

Worthy and Interesting

The reason we will never have another "Beatles" is simply the group was composed of three genius level songwriters and one great drummer that was a charismatic good sport. Being old enough to remember them when they were still "fab" I recall the wonder of seeing the kid brother emerge as an equal writing force. George Harrison brought quality musicianship and deep soul to his music, but not the strongest voice. This tribute to me epitomizes the extraordinary quality of Harrison's music. I recommend it because it is an earnest effort to honor this man by unknowns that give it current interpretation. Good job.
