You can't not enjoy this...

Genuine, lyrical pop that defies categorization
by SojiathanWhen you hear Jeff Solomon's music, you will curse the powers that be that music like this hasn't made it to the radio yet. Everyone I've given this album to tells me weeks and months later that it keeps finding its way into their CD player, their iPod. What is it? I can't give you a categorization. Hear something like "Temporary Song" and you think, "Yes, this is classic pop/rock." Hear "I Sit Around Too Much" and you're thinking, perhaps, Weezer, perhaps Ben Folds. Then comes a ballad, "Like Yesterday" or "Your Eyes," and you're thinking... well, now you don't know what to think. Jeff's music is simply his own, and it's terrific. You'll find yourself humming it the next day, I guarantee it. Only problem: six songs? We want more!!
